Notice of shipment despatch
This new service allows business customers to inform the recipients directly that their shipment has been despatched using our organisation.
BRT customers who already send shipment data electronically can activate this service by filling in the new field in the appropriate file giving the email address of the recipient of their shipments.
The notice is an email generated by the BRT IT system and sent to the recipients of shipments within Italy. The email gives clear details of the shipment, for example:
- shipment reference number
- sender
- no. parcels and weight
- any cash on delivery requirement
- branch to collect goods from if the shipment will await collection
and contains a link allowing the recipient to carry out Track & Tracing to check the progress of the shipment, from the day after receiving the email.
The main benefits of this service are:
- reduction of incoming telephone calls requesting information on shipments
- making better use of the time and resources devoted to the after-sales service
