BRT fresh lands in Bari

Since the beginning of October, the BRT fresh service for the transport and delivery of fresh packaged food products, is also active in Bari with a new refrigerated warehouse.

The new Bari warehouse will cover the province of Bari and the nearby area. The plant is equipped with modern temperature monitoring devices and sensors, including remote ones, and a coolant backup system to ensure cold chain management between 0 and 4 °C.

BRT fresh service is already available in eight Italian cities: Milan, Turin, Padua, Bergamo, Bologna, Modena, Bari and Rome. The latter one has also tripled in size and strengthened its effectiveness and coverage of neighboring areas.

In Italy fresh products represent more than 50% of all online food purchases: a market worth 4 billion euros in 20231.

The BRT fresh solution includes five days a week delivery (in specific situations on the same day as the order), the pre-determination of the time slot and doorstep delivery.
The service is carried out by personnel with specific training in food transport and using dedicated packaging. The end customer will have the option to choose from multiple delivery options while sellers will be able to monitor shipments constantly.

The entire product management is carried out in compliance with HACCP guidelines, for the analysis and control of all potential risks during the transport phases.
Deliveries are made by dedicated refrigerated vans or using specially designed isothermal containers.
