BRT strengthens its network with relocations and new depot openings

As part of its strategy to enhance and strengthen its network, BRT continues its project of revision and expansion with the opening and relocation of several depots.

A new branch in Rome Fiumicino, covering an area of 8,600 square meters with an additional 10,000 square meter outdoor yard, replaces the previous location in Rome Eur. Strategically positioned to serve the business fabric of the Lazio region and the western quadrant of Rome, near Fiumicino Airport and the port of Civitavecchia, the new depot offers great potential for business development.

Changes are also underway in Sicily, with the relocation of the Palermo Carini and Palermo Centro hubs (formerly Palermo Ovest) to a new facility. With a covered area of 7,500 square meters and a 13,500 square meter yard, the Palermo Carini terminal will better manage unloading and forwarding operations to all branches in the western Sicily area. This facility is vital to the industrial and economic fabric of the region, serving much of the city of Palermo as well as the towns of Alcamo and Castellammare del Golfo (Trapani).

The Palermo Centro depot is located within the city area but occupies a particularly crucial position that allows it to cover a broader area, from the eastern province of Palermo to the first towns in the province of Messina. Thanks to the presence of 10 charging stations, the branch serves a large part of the city territory using 100% electric vehicles.
