BRT is participating in the Festival della Cultura Tecnica 2024 of Bologna, an event exploring the ecological transition in the transportation sector.
Founded in 2014, the Festival della Cultura Tecnica is an initiative that runs from October to December, promoting technical, scientific, and technological skills as essential components of citizenship and fostering connections between the education system, the territory, and the productive system. Since 2020, the Festival has become a tool for the Metropolitan City of Bologna to promote the principles of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
On this occasion, BRT has organized an event on the ecological transition in the transportation sector dedicated to students of the Tecnico Superiore per la Logistica 4.0 e la Smart Mobility course of Fondazione Aldini Valeriani. The meeting will take place on October 29th and includes a visit to the Roveri branch and a presentation illustrating the actions, including infrastructure, that BRT has introduced to achieve the ambitious goal of Net-Zero emissions by 2040.
BRT's commitment to sustainability embraces every initiative: from the production of photovoltaic energy and full LED lighting of branches to the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles.
In 2023, 100% of the energy used in its offices was generated from renewable sources, 15 branches have a photovoltaic system, and 40 are fully illuminated by LEDs.
