How does it work?

There are two ways to contact Safecall - through the free phone number or by submitting an alert (www.safecall.co.uk/en/clients/brt). When you contact Safecall by telephone, an operator will ask you to explain the content of your alert in as much detail as possible. During the call the operator will take notes and might ask questions to clarify certain points. Once an alert has been submitted, Safecall will send a written notice to the Ethics Officer, who will forward this on to the most appropriate person in the company. Safecall is based in the United Kingdom and its freephone number is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Can I choose to remain anonymous?

Yes. If you choose to submit an anonymous alert, Safecall and its operators will not ask you to provide any personal information. Moreover, Safecall does not record calls and any information provided, like your identity or information relating to your alert, will be strictly confidential and protected.

What can be reported?

Through Safecall Portal it is possible to submit alerts regarding irregularities or unlawful conduct which may concern, for example: fraud, irregularities regarding to health and safety at work, data breaches, bullying, corruption, influence peddling, discrimination, violence, harassment, inadequate working conditions or any other issue that you feel is unacceptable in the workplace.

Who will receive my alert?

The alert will be sent to the Ethics Officer and to the other subjects authorised to manage whisteblowing alerts appointed by BRT.
