Phishing alert

Several fraud attempts have occured with the unauthorised use of the BRT name and trademark by means of e-mail communications that, apparently, appear to come from our company.

These communications refer, for example, to alleged "non-delivery" by BRT or, in some cases, to fake invoices whose download carries the intrusion of malicious software into users' devices.

Please read carefully the sender of the emails and, in case of doubt, do not click on any links or download attachments within the message.

What is Phishing and how to identify a suspicious email?

"Phishing" is an English word that indicates the action of web criminals to "fish" personal and sensitive data such as usernames, passwords, financial or banking data with the aim of leveraging the sense of urgency to click on the links in the email and steal sensitive data that are immediately passed to the scammer.

There may also be a request to download or install software or files and this may damage your PC and endanger the data inside.

A fraudulent email can have one of the following characteristics:

- Poor language: sentences are written with grammatical or typing errors.

- Generic or incorrect e-mail address: the sender’s address differs, even slightly, from that of the service you use.

- Links or buttons: request to click urgently on links or buttons within the email.
